I will miss my wii

I can't believe I am confessing that I will miss a computer game while I'm gone to England. However I just started playing on the wii fit and am trying to gain balance, tone and strengthen my muscles (I'm pretty sure my muscles are hiding somewhere). I was playing with a guest wii, finally got myself a mii just to find out I have to start all over at unlocking extra games (if you have no idea what I'm talking about, just ignore me!) I have only been doing it for two days but I'm already hooked on it. Thanks to my awesome mother in law who got us a wii (although I was trying to avoid video games in the house for as long as possible), I actually think it's better than most other gaming systems, Cash is even getting the hang of some of the games. Well I probably won't get another post in before I leave but I'll try to post from England. See ya.D

Grand National Roadster Show

Here is my second attempt at this post and a few more pictures. We went to the roadster show this weekend in Pomona. I saw some amazing cars, Cash got to ride in the backpack when his legs got tired. We all had a lot of fun, my highlight of the trip: spending time with Evin and Cash. Cash's highlight: swimming in the dark at the hotel way past his bedtime. Evin's highlight: the crazy amount of custom cars and bringing home a scooby doo van, It's a 66 Ford (oh, he did!) So Evin has a car like the green one "shoe box" style as they call it. Although Evin's isn't quite in showroom condition like this one. The middle picture is a picture Cash took, I didn't even see this picture taken, I'm just assuming that no-one else would be excited enough about what's in the fridge to capture it in a picture. I'm going to start a collection of his abstract "art", the world through a child's eyes. The other pictures were cash by the foose car (I know this guys name from the tv), and Cash in the backpack carrier with most people commenting that they would also like to be carried like that. I'm going to post this so I don't loose it again.

No more naps!

I have bittersweet feelings about naptime. During naptime I'm able to get more office work done and better focus my attention, make my phone calls without interruptions. On the other hand naptime has always split up our day between morning and afternoon with naptime in the middle. Maybe it's me but I like to be home for naptime so I can get my stuff done and Cash can get his rest. Yesterday refused to take a nap, he didn't whine about it he just played in his room the entire time. Usually if he's whiney I know he's tired. So I think nap time is officially over for us. I'm sure there will be days when he's tired and will fall asleep in the car. I'm happy about it but I think I will miss it more than him. The one big plus about no naps is that he went to bed on time and didn't mess around or come out of his bed last night. We were amazed! Well I must get back to my phone calls and office work.later.d

Airplane Crash- Pajama Man

I'm sure everyone has heard about the plane that crashed into the Hudson River, it makes me nervous about flying but not enough to cancel my trip. Cash and I fly out of Las Vegas on Jan 31st. where we will meet my dad in Houston, TX and then fly to England. Traveling with kids is sure a lot different than traveling alone. There are perks though, people pretty much get out of your way when you have a screaming or wild child. I'll go through the usual parent hypocrite (thanks spell check for fixing that word, I was just missing the e) situations. I used to say when I have kids, I'll never let them do that, somehow you end up being a hypocrite. Although this trip I'm looking forward to not having to worry about carrying diapers. I am looking forward to having my dad drive me around and helping with Cash on the plane. Well I thought I had better put another post on here. Evin's dad is leaving today, we have enjoyed having him here. Here's a picture of Cash being his silly self. He somehow managed to get his pajama bottoms on his head, turban style. We got a laugh out of it, I called him pajama man. A big surprise to all of our local friends- we got cable tv , most people don't know how we live without it and are tired of saying "Did you see that episode of ...?, oh yeah you don't have tv." It boils down to I'm cheap and when we have it we get sucked into wasting hours watching dumb shows (except ER). Well Evin's dad wanted tv, so we caved in and got cable tv set up, we miss the Dish Network info buttons and guide but we're not sure how long we are going to keep it on (I've got some honey-do's for Evin while I'm gone). Cash can't sit through commercials and thinks everything is on demand so we are going through that learning curve. That's all I can think of for now. Oh I almost forgot we are starting a preschool with some other mom's in town, we need 1 or 2 more people who want to join in. Each mom will take all the kids twice a week for two hours each day and then we'll rotate. I never thought I would even think about teaching toddlers but when you have your own kids, you know your friends kids and you are trying to be frugal, the extremes tend to seem normal. Take care.D

Saturday

Well now that I work from home my weekends are not what they used to be. When I have appraisals to complete I'm able to work faster on the weekends because Evin is home to help with Cash. So guess what I'm doing this weekend? you guessed it, working. I should be working right now but I'm blogging instead! Well I just wanted to add a post to keep it fresh. Evin's dad is here visiting, Cash has been enjoying his company and playing with his special walking cane. He likes to do limbo in the kitchen with it. I'll have to snap a picture. I went back to Albertson's at 6:30am yesterday morning. I wasn't the only one there. I spent $49.35 and saved $112.34. The cashiers there have been so helpful but I think they will be glad to see the sale end. I may have to do one more trip before the sale ends since they didn't restock a few items that I would have liked to get, does anyone know if they will restock again? I am now stocked to do laundry, cooking and cleaning (which doesn't mean it will get done any sooner). Well I had better get back to my work, take care everyone!d

The other picture

I forgot to tell you one picture is my first sunday with 4 papers sitting in my driveway. A happy occasion since last week I was missing three of them. The other picture is of Cash, which he took himself. He has taken better pictures of his surroundings but I thought this one was funny. Notice his tounge sticking out, not his top lip. He sticks his tounge out quite often when concentrating.bye for now!

Is there anyone else drowning in paper!

I feel like I can't seem to stop mass amounts of paper coming into my house! Everywhere I
look there is a paper, I file every week and they still keep coming. I haven't even checked my mail this week yet. One paper I have recently added to the mass is the local newspaper. Right now I'm addicted to the Sunday paper and I'll tell you why. I ignore the paper the rest of the week, I think Evin reads it then it gets put in the recycle bin. On Sunday I receive 4 papers, I glance at the front page, get disgusted with the "news" and start searching for my coupons. I just started this coupon program. The last Sunday paper had 5 booklets of coupons. I was recently told about this website that lists the sales from the local grocery stores then lists the extra savings when you use a mfg coupon from the coupons in the paper or there are some with links to printable coupons online. Some of the items end up being free or costing a fraction of the retail price. Some sales start on Wed, so yesterday Albertson's started a sale. If you spend $30 on select items they give you $15 coupon towards your next purchase of anything. Well I didn't make it there until the afternoon when I had about 10 mins to spare, I spent just over $30 and got my $15 coupon, wow it worked! Apparently the place was quite a zoo from 6:00AM when they opened. I returned in the evening since I had another spare minute and Cash actually agreed to go into the store with me. All together I spent about $65.00 and got about $165.00 worth of products. They were out of a lot of stuff and they get another shipment in on Friday, so you know where I'll be heading. They had a pretty good sale last week also on Juicy Juice drinks for $.40-.90 for 1/2 gal or 8pack juice boxes, less than a dollar for 100% juice! Last night Evin asked me how many times I needed to go to Albertsons, well I'm going to go as long as the sale is on so I can stock up and also get some Yoplait kids drinkable yogurt for FREE! If you want the info and live in UT or NV, I have the website and info. The only thing that costs any money is the newspaper and of course the shopping. So as I complain about these other mass amounts of paper streaming into my house, I will not complain about the one's that save me tons of money on my groceries. I'm just wondering if I can get a friend to cover for me while I'm gone to England so I don't miss out on any "can't pass up" deals. By the way the stores get reimbursed for the coupons plus $.08, since they make money on the deal, they are usually happy to accept manufacturers coupons. Take care!!!see ya!d

Trip to England

I'm going to England in February! Thanks to my awesome husband who said I could go (even though he'll spend 14 sleepless nights and be bored without us). I'm excited to see my family. I will be traveling with Cash and my dad. Just thought I would let everyone know! Well Cash is telling me I'm in trouble so I had better go. We are on our way to cooking class and he can't wait to go!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! Hi to everyone, I still haven't written down my New Years goals but I want to.

Well I thought I would add a few new pictures. The first one is Cash making a Thank you letter for Santa, the second one is on Christmas with some new cars from Grandpa Thomas. It's rare that I get a nice smile from him and usually by the time I snap the picture he's out of the shot and all I'm left with is this random looking picture. He thinks it's really funny. The last one I just had to post on here. This is Evin with his sister Carylie on Christmas, they were playing a game called would you rather and somehow he got a challenge. He had two choices, sing a rap song or have glasses and a mustache painted on his face. I'm surprised he chose the second one and I'm sure he's going to be mad at me for posting it but I had to. Well I had better save this post before he see's me typing this. later. d
